About Me

A little about me….I decided to open Accent Lighting in 2008 when my oldest child was graduating and my youngest was in Grade 1. We had been operating a successful electrical company, Power-Pro Electric since 2001 and Lloydminster and surrounding area needed a lighting store. With the combination of my love for interior design and my husband’s vast knowledge of the industry, we took the giant leap.

During the first couple years, it was a slow and scary start (as anything is), but as Power-Pro was getting busier, I started to see more and more faith from contractors and homeowners in general in what I had to offer. We landed a couple huge projects (apartment buildings) which helped get us going.

I have learned so much about people and the industry and love the challenges and rewards that this industry has to offer. Now as my youngest has graduated from high school and my oldest has made me a Grammie, we have been operating this store for 12 years!!!
